Thanks for doing the list @Nezz79!
Thank you for the welcome @Bongley I can only imagine that doing this over and over would be incredibly hard. There are just so many unknowns in this process. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much for our first cycle, but at the same time trying to stay positive – which is kinda confusing! I’m sorry things have been so rough for you lately – it sounds like last week was a shocker. Fingers crossed for a better week this week.
@canuck28 – Sending those embies good growing vibes! Good luck for your transfer.
@ScubaGal – I was wondering that too – in relation to timing of injections to blood tests to trigger etc. I will be doing the short cycle too.
It’s so good to have somewhere to ask these questions and chat about the process. We haven’t told many people in real life that we’re TTC, let alone starting ivf. I have just told 1 friend and my Dad, both of whom are totally trustworthy. MIL on the other hand has started hassling us about ‘not leaving it too long’ which is somewhat irritating We would tell her except that she can’t keep a secret to save her life! DH’s sister conceived her bub via ivf, and MIL blabbed about it to the entire family constantly – much to poor SIL’s horror. So yep, we’re keeping it pretty much to ourselves for now.
Thinking of you all – here’s to a good week ahead

We had an appointment with our FS today hopefully AF will arrive tomorrow and we can get started. He did an USS and said there are a large number of immature follicles (19) so he wants to be very careful to avoid overstimulation. I have never wanted AF to arrive so much!

@ScubaGal, @MrsChino I've done 3 short stim cycles and I think my egg collection has been something like days 19,11 and 14 of my cycle. The first cycle I was on a higher dose of GonalF and the last two the same dose. I get the impression that around day 14 is average but my clinic have said some stim for 3 weeks before EPU. Good luck girls!
Looks like I'll be heading in for my embryo transfer mid next week. Have to decide if we're going to transfer 1 or 2 embryos. I change my mind daily!
Have a good week ladies! Hope you're all going well.

Welcome @babygirl! I think I remember you from a previous thread. All the best this time around.
I'm just resting up after my hysteroscopy and d&c - FS said everything looks good and it went well, which is a big relief.
How's everyone else traveling?

babygirl, definitely only 1 for transfer. I am nervous about the idea of multiples, not something I would necessarily be happy about. We are going to be in Thailand for 6 weeks, so if I get a BFN after this fresh cycle and we have a frosty, I will transfer another right away before heading back to China. The question really is would I risk transferring 2 at the end of July/beginning of August in a FET because it will be difficult to return to Bangkok because of work commitments...

MrsChino! Unfortunately I had to leave work early (before my holidays started) to rush overseas to begin this cycle. We have been private about IVF and only told close friends that this was how we conceived DS. But because AF came early (I was trying to control it with the pill) I has to leave work at a moment's notice to fly to Bangkok. Needless to say my boss was not pleased…understanding but annoyed. Then all my co-workers were wondering where I was because my sudden absence was odd…so now many people know! Oh well, it is nothing to be ashamed about. I just do not want to answer questions if our hearts are broken with a BFN.
