Yep you can, just call whoever you're flying with and they recommend where to hire it from. Or follow the links on their website.
I just flew my car from Brisbane to Sydney. I ended up buying a crate because it was almost the same price though.

We used the company Dogtainers for our Cats whenever we moved interstate one way, and initially when we didn't have a carrier they loaned us one.
