    I'm doing my best not to eat after dinner, I'm a bit hungry but trying to hold on until bed time.

    I really want to stay in ketosis.

    I don't know if I'm in it or not, I'm not hungry after meals I also don't feel the need to eat after dinner, today I was really thirsty. It will all be blown tomorrow though, I have my birthday dinner so won't be watching carbs, oh well Thursdays a new day

    I don't really feel any different, but I think I'm in ketosis cos I've been doing strict low carb for a week and the weight is coming off. I don't really feel any symptoms.

    I have read some blogs from the usa and they use test strips to measure ketones in their urine. Wonder if you can get them in aus?

    You can but I've read they can be unreliable. I was planning on weighing in Friday but I'm going to tomorrow to keep me motivated, either way. You're right though if I'm sticking to low carb and the weight is coming off then it would seem a good sign.

    Well after my half hearted effort last week, I have been so strict this week so far and lost 4kg since Monday morning

    ETA- I realise a lot would be fluid but it's great motivation to keep going

    Have been reading along - go girls! It is hard to do when everyone else is eating normally and takes that extra planning so that you don't get hungry.
    Weighed myself yesterday at 92.4kg which makes this officially the most I've put on during a pregnancy after having to almost bedrest for a few months. It will be worth it to have a living baby at the end.

    On the flip side, from full pregnancy weight in a few weeks time plus a week off while I recover I will then have 40kg to lose to get back to where I was pre trying for this baby. So glad this thread has started up - I get so cranky and tired when dropping the weight and will be studying this time so will have to avoid the snacking! Feel a little okay about having some muscle tone at the moment from working out still but that will all go during the six weeks off post partum.

    (And...no. No, I can't breast feed. Otherwise I wouldn't start until that was over. No amount of pumping, drinking, eating, sleeping or medications can make this girl lactate a little bit more than a little.)

    My DP and I are driving up to Botany Bay on Friday to pick up something, so I'll make sure I'll take some healthy snacks along with me. My dp has joined the bandwagon and started his weight training again, so he too has cut out all the junk food, which means there is none in the house now, so much easier now. I'm hoping to pick up a chicken salad or something similar from a cafe on Friday.
