I have tried making baby food in the past, but dd won't eat it. She will eat it when it's just veggies, but now that she is needing meat too, she flat out refuses t eat it. So I have been giving her pouches every other night so she is getting protein, but wondering what I am doing wrong? I don't want her to eat the pouches anymore though!
How do you make your meat and veg purées????

Have you tried just giving a piece of meat like steamed or grilled chicken? As b a strip, blw style? Let your little one try it that way

I did blw with my first child but my second threw me, so I used tbe Annabel Karmel recipes and they're fantastic

Grilled salmon flaked into little pieces is a great protein source for babies as it's easy to chew and swallow, as is eggs or make some mini falafels or meat balls so they can nibble off little pieces

I've used Annabel Karmel as well. Plus I have the avent steamer blender which has some good recipes.
I found with my LO if I sweeten the meats (apricot chicken, bolognaise sauce with sweet potato or even apple) she tends to find it more palatable. Maybe that might work for your LO.

At this age I think they only have developed the sweet taste buds anyway so that's probably why they prefer it.

I didn't feed my kids meat until they had their meat eating molars, I didn't puree it either - I tried once and it smelt like dog food and I couldn't feed it to them for gagging. lol
We mainly did baby led solids so things were in chunks or on the bone when they tasted it. Except for mince and the meals that involved it.
