    Hey Inner Hippy,

    The snip was done under neither. It took the specialist all of 5 seconds and local anesthetic would have just caused her more pain with the needle. It was over sooo quickly and she breastfed straight away. Honestly she cried more for her immunisation that were 2 days before hand.

    We chose the snip because it was only $200 and no waiting time.

    I would most definitely recommend laser and I would at least get a second opinion about the need for GA. There is a very good Facebook support group for tongue and lips tie babies. Can I name it here? Or is that against the rules.

    Also are you aware that almost all bubs with lip tie have a tongue tie too (often a posterior one)? It is really important to have this fealty with by someone who really knows ties otherwise you and bub will not get the most out of getting this revised. There is a really good article written by a LC recently that is all about ties. Can I post a link?
