Just wondering when/how often toy sales are on? I noticed that target has 50% off toys at the moment and wondering if there will be another big sale closer to Christmas?
Trying to work out if its worth getting bub a few toys for Christmas now? He will only be a few months old by then so might not get much use out of toys until next year (we can store them though I suppose!).

i always wait for the big w toy sale, usually at the of june/july?? I like to layby the toys, and everything for Christmas. I do go a bit over board at Christmas time with the grandchildren. if you are only going to buy a few things then you might as well take advantage of any sale that happens. marie

Yeah, Target has some great specials at the moment.. I'll definitely be snapping up a few things for my niece and nephews, if they're in stock when I go..
I also love the BigW sales but thankfully my kids aren't getting many toys this year.. One each actually!

The last 2 years I've got really overboard with Xmas and it was a struggle to pay it off last year. This year I've decided to spend less, and get what my kids actually need, it will be interesting to see the price difference.

I usually go to the july/august sales at kmart and target - they usually have a layby until christmas thing too.
Makes it alot easier at christmas time.

Ok great thanks! Think I will pick up a few things at the mid-year sales for Christmas, and then get him a few more bits and bobs in the after Christmas sales. Saw the Big W toy sale catalogue came out yesterday too so will have to check that out.

Wouldn't have even thought about that! This whole buying for kids Christmas thing is new to me, in the last 12 months I've picked up 2 step sisters and their little ones and mine on the way too, plus a bunch of friends have also had babies recently! It's exciting - I love Christmas and I think doing it with kids is going to make it so much more fun

I usually have my birthday and christmas shopping done by August then for the rest of the year i buy a gift voucher every payday for woollies and it means i can have a massive food/alcohol etc shop for christmas without having to worry!
I have 4 kids birthdays in January and use the july/aug sales and until christmas laybys for these as they are usually the most expensive!
