So Im 17 weeks today and for the last couple of days I've been pretty sore, dull aches and sometimes a bit sharp when I get up/move. This is normal isn't it? I read somewhere (probably on google) that the baby is gearing up for a major growth spurt and will double in size in the next few weeks, so is this just everything stretching? I'm not overly worried but I would like some reassurance this is normal!
    Thanks girls! x

@Molros I'm 18 wks and I'm the same!! Sore, aching, a bit of stabby pain here and there.....not to mention a debilitating pain in my groin when I walk....

I was a but worried about the aching (kind of like my intestines were being squashed) especially when I sleep on my side. (I know they say to sleep on left side but whenever I do I wake up with pain!! I can only sleep on my back if I want a restful night sleep).

Not that I'm complaining cause it will all be worth it but gee pregnancy is not glamorous!!

@90Bayside thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I think I just worry sometimes, its mostly just uncomfortable.

I used to be a tummy sleeper but that's out the window now so I'm usually back or side. I like lying on my back though cos then I can put my hand on my tummy......which has grown in size considerably in just two days! My DP was a bit spun out when he felt it this morning!!

Haha, I hear you, well worth it but not at all glamerous!!

@Molros you might want to check you can still sleep on your back? At the Antenatal Physio Class they suggested only side sleeping from 16 weeks.
