My ex is pretty lazy. He buys presents now but never used to. He has a gf now and I've put my foot down (I think she said something to him too).
I feel sorry for your poor son. What a sh!t his dad is!

I feel so sad for your boy. My sisters ex did the same thing so many times to their two sons. Often made a huge point of asking what they wanted and promising to give them exactly what they wanted, and then nothing. so sad. now my nephews are grown men and they give their father exactly what he deserves, nothing. If you saying something to your ex will end with more upset for your son, leave it be. but make sure your son knows that his father is very slack, and you are disappointed with how your son has been treated. marie.

Geez what a crappy thing to do. It's not that hard to buy a present!
DS's Dad does buy him birthday and Xmas presents. But I had to tell him to cut down on the toys as he wasn't playing with what he had here already.
