    This is how I hold it tight. My mum doesn't wrap it around the finger so much. I take photo when I go up to the hospital today.

    I too am trying to learn how to crochet, and am having the same issues. I can't believe what you ladies have made on your first go. Very impressive.

    Thanks Anewme, I was wrapping it around my first finger not my second & it kept slipping off. Your way looks like it might work better so I'll give it a try

    So she wraps around her little finger and I wrap it around my tall finger.

    Anewme I love that stitch your mum is doing, me, my mum and my Aunty have made soooo many blankets using it! It's so quick too.
