    Default Chicken Pox

There's was a note in my child class that someone had chicken pox. My DD has woken with red spots over her. She's has no temp and feeling ok.
    Could this be chicken pox?
I'm seeing a doctor late today.

I have other kids. Should they stay home or go to school?
I haven't had to deal with this so bit sure

Oh wow that's awful! poor little thing, and poor you with what could be a very sick little girl

I would be keeping the others home too. It can take 3-5 days for the spots to come up once contracted and I'm sure your DD spends more time with her siblings than her classmate.

Out of interest, does your school have a vaccination policy? I only ask because I don't have school age kids and don't know what the norm is yet...

I'm not sure if they have a vaccination policy. I'm thinking no cause it's a public school.

Yeah I'm worried if the rest of the kids will get it. This isn't going to be fun

Possibly. My DS didn't have a temp or anything either, just the spots.
The daycare actually thought they were school sores but the GP confirmed otherwise.

How did you go at the GP today @onelasttime? Hoping for your sanity and DD's comfort that it was just a heat rash or something! Xx

Unfortunately some people are immune to the vaccine that's why we need herd immunity.

Sorry I didn't reply it was a crazy day.
    Yeah it's not chicken pox.
It's a rash or bites. Got some cream and it's settled right down.
    I'm so relieved
