I don't have any advice but I feel the same way as you. I just don't believe I could ever love another child as much as DD. She's our world. It must be possible though otherwise people wouldn't go back for more

    Don't underestimate love!
I'm just bursting with it for my two boys.
I never thought I could love another child the way I loved my first but then DS2 came along. He is the polar opposite of DS1 and I am absolutely head over heels for him too.
I'm pregnant with no.3 right now and this time around, all the concerned I had when going from one to two - just like yours - are not there.
I know I can love all three whole heartedly

Maybe 18 mths is too short a gap for you.
If you're young enough I'd give it another year.
Just enjoy being a mammy for a while and when you're ready you'll know

If you dont feel ready, then there is no reason you cant wait a bit longer.

But I assure you, you will have more than enough love.

There is something about watching siblings play happily together that makes it worthwhile dividing your time between them. Yes, your relationship with baby #1 definitely changes though. Just be there for them as much as you can, support them through the changes, they adapt well.

Remember too that babies just don't happen they cook for 9 months so even if you did ttc you will still have 9 months of one on one time

Agreed with the other mums, love definitely grows. I'm having my 6th, they are all their own little people and you love them equally but differently. It would be like saying how can you love your mother and your husband?
A 3/4 year gap is great too so maybe you need more time.
As an only child myself my opinion is if parents can give their child a sibling, do it. Watching my kids together makes me realise that nothing can be like that bond.
