My house is a 4x2 and can be done in an hour and a half - 2 hours tops (dust, mop, vacuum, wipe benches toilets, bathroom glass). Depends on whether you tidy first to make it easier for them or not... If you add in wiping mirrired robes and glass doors, windows, fans etc regularly or not? What does ypur cleaner get done in 3 hrs, is it regular?

Ours comes every fortnight for 3 hours. Does floors (lounge, kitchen, dining, laundry, bathroom, 1 bedroom), bath, handbasin, shower, toilet. She also does the kitchen benches and if she had time I get her to take the washing off the line. TBH I don't think that she gets enough done.

Not enough in my opinion!
Mine comes for 2 hours once a fortnight. My house is only 13sq living though. One open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, 2 bath and 3 bedrooms. Also there's only the 2 of us living here so only 1 bedroom is used regularly. likewise with bathrooms.
All she seems to manage is vacuum (without moving anything including dining chairs), mop, dust (without moving anything), bathrooms are done with the bare minimum (only 1 bathroom is used regularly) and wipe down kitchen bench tops.
On occasion I have asked for something extra - clean sliding door or take one the exhaust fan cover in the ensuite and clean and she never has time!
I've done the same clean myself and it takes me an hour.
Mine has time to make herself a cuppa and eat her lunch at my house and watch a little tv. I guess she watches TV, it's always on a different channel when I get home!

In 3 hours, I would expect absolutely everything done.
I have 5x2 and I could clean my house from top to bottom in 3 hours and have it sparkling!

Mine does 4 hours every fortnight. I have a 3 bedroom home with 2 living rooms and 2 bathrooms. She vacuums, dusts, cleans windows, mops, cleans bathrooms and toilets, cleans kitchen and microwave and wipes everything down. She normally does an extra job too that does not need to be done each fortnight - like cleaning the outside of the windows. Last week she swept up all the leaves in our courtyard.
I think I'm vet spoiled with my cleaner - she's great

Yeah that seems pretty slack. I have one less bathroom, but two extremely grotty children. Mine comes 2 hours a f/n and does floors (properly), kitchen benches, stove top, sink and any dishes, microwave and coffee machine and often wipes cupboards down too. Oh and often gives the high chair a good scrub! Also bathroom and dusting, and a little straightening. Like she often makes the kid's beds and if there's washing she will fold it. She does all that in two hours, and manages to fit in a coffee and doting on the kids and cat as well

I think thats the best way to judge "how long should it take" do it yourself and put a 10 min break in. Thats what I expect from anyone who does my place... Ive been through a few.

our house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and my cleaner has herself and two other girls do our house in about 1 and a half hours, which includes cleaning all the floors (we have a pretty big tiled area upstairs and downstairs) and all bathrooms cleaned and all rooms vacuumed and kitchen cleaned and wood polished etc. I think she does a pretty good job with her team and its not expensive in the scheme of things. They don't get everything done, but they do a lot and it just feels clean when they are finished.
