Why do children need 4-5 trolleys of toys? Am I a party pooper? My kids just get a few bits and bobs. It all just ends up as land fill!!

My Mum went after work this morning around 7:30am. The store she went to only had a handful of people shopping and she managed to get everything on our lists!

Mum just had to pop back into the shopping centre and said the store is crazy busy.

    4 trolleys each person! Whoa.

I was trying to avoid going in by doing a layby click and collect online. Except the website seems to be having issues and I can't create the layby.

I called them and they can only do home delivery over the phone, not click and collect. What a pain

I guess I'm stuck with fighting it out in store. sigh

I got there at 8am when they opened and it wasn't too bad. However an hour later after I'd done laps of the store to find what I was looking for and started wandering around it was getting pretty busy.

Only two registers open but only one person in front of me. Everyone else was in the layby line.

Big families, birthday and Christmas presents, shopping for other members of the family. Plenty of reasons. Plus if you have even one big thing it can take up a whole trolley on it's own.

I had a full trolley and it was for one child, but was for his birthday and Christmas. But really I didn't have that much it was just bulky stuff.

BIGW wasn't crowded it was manageable today even with dd in tow. But I gave up on the idea of doing a lay by when I saw the 100m queue for lay-bys snaking it's way through half the store.
We didn't buy much so I just paid upfront. Was considering the lay by mostly since I can't hide things without ds seeing them.
Got some good deals though. Most large items were at least $10 off if not more. Lego and bikes seem well discounted.

I was at my store at 6am.
Apparently all the frozen stuff had already sold out.
There were a few empty spaces around.
The end of the layby queue was only about 6 people back but the onea at the end had been there since midnight.
The front registers were setup as layby and only 3-4 waiting.
I decided just to buy so no queue at all

Now to wait n see what target have

Ladies who missed out on the frozen dress, you can buy the same one on eBay.
