Yes I remember all this. When all you had was a home phone and you had your answering machine so when you were out you were actually not contactable

Would Frozen have been as popular a decade ago?

Is its success based on the quality of the movie/soundtrack or on the saturation of products and influential power of social media?

It took aaages for any merchandise to become available. The movie was so popular before any merch was out. I know as soon as it hit the shops it kept selling out. All the knock-off manufacturers have caught up with the trend now and there is stuff everywhere, but I feel that's just in reaction to its popularity.

I will admit that when I first saw the movie I really liked it. So much better than the usual Disney princess faff. However I did think that merchandise would have been a consideration when illustrating the characters and costumes.

It's been compared to the Lion King, it was really popular. They didn't expect Frozen to be anywhere near as popular as it is but I think it's the movie that is good not just the saturation of products.

I love how my 2 year old DD uses "sounds like" to describe everything. This morning I gave her some lime cordial to try for the first time and after tasting it she proclaimed it "sounds like medicine"
