I'm pro vax and think you are nuts not to vaccinate BUT what is the actual law here? Legally can the child consent? If not, then it doesn't matter what it is - that is wrong.

Is this a grey area? This might prompt a law amendment

No, legally a 16 can consent to medical procedures, the law is on his side here.

That would also work in redlips favour, ie, even though the parents consented she chose not to have the vax.

Thanks - will be interesting to see where this leads.

Seriously, does the mum think not having the vax would stop him having sex????

She said she didn't want it because there was not enough research on the vax. Which is ridiculous, there has been heaps of research done on it!
