I have created an art wall with the kids art, using cheap Ikea frames. Its in the hallway that the kids rooms come off and has really brightened an otherwise dull hall. Lots of visitors comment on it 1401010356235.jpg

In our old house we bought some cool material (different colours and textures) and covered up canvas with a staple gun.
We did a set of 3 in the living and lounge room.

I am turning DD's room into what I call the 'family art gallery'. I have begged art pieces off an assortment of nephews and her brothers as well as one I did in year 10 and one DD herself has done. Mum is also going to help me paint a mural on her wall as her contribution. I haven't hung them all yet as I don't have frames to fit them but I will blu tack them temporarily to the wall so you guys get the idea.

They look great kaybaby. I've done something similar with my kids art and framed them in matching white frames. We used black oil pastels to outline the drawing then painted it in with watercolour paints. This is my favourite DS did when he was 4 ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1401011701.239757.jpg

The frame and mat are white but it's showing up a peachy colour for some reason

So I still have a few more to get printed!

My walls are full of art of all different types.

    My favourites -

A watercolour painting by my DH's Great Grandfather of the Faroe Islands (where he was from):

A painting from Angkor Wat which we bought on our honeymoon:

A print of a famous painting from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam:

My house is seriously a jumble of all different things haha!

@caketin, the first two photos of the canvases are not showing for me? I love the others, esp the one by your dh's great grandfather, that's pretty special!
