    Default Opinions needed :-)

    So! DP and I are nowhere near TTC but we have got a girls name picked out.
    Emmeline Justine. Justine is a mix of the two of our mothers names (June is MIL and Christine is my mum).

    However, I would like a xouple of opinions :-)

    Which pronounciation do you prefer? And how would you spell each.

    I feel like each would need to be spelled differently to stop mispronounciation...

    I prefer the pronounciation "Emma-Leen". I would probably spell it Emmelene. I don't know!

    I guess, how do you all pronounce "Emmeline"? And how would you spell "Emma-Leen"?

    Emmaline or Emmeline, both I'd pronounce as Emma-Leen.
    But Emmelene doesn't look right, I would probably pronounce that Emma-Len if I saw it written that way.

    I say go for the spelling Emmeline justine. Sure it might be a bit frustrating if people sometimes pronounce it incorrectly but its preferable over a name your child has to spell out for their whole life

    Emmaline I pronounced Emma-Line as that is how it's spelt. If you want Emma-leen why not just spell it Emmaleen?

    I'd pronounce Emmaline as Emma-line

    To get to the long e sound on the end if consider spelling it
    Emmalene
    Emmaleen
    Emmelien

    With the first one looking most appealing written down.

    I'd pronounce it Emma-Line normally but seeing it written next to Justine makes me pronounce it Emma-Leen

    My best friends little sister is called "emma-leen" spelt Emmelene. I've never known it any other way.
