So sorry to hear that Ngaiz, what a tough situation. Have you considered hiring an Au pair? They are very reasonable in rates as you accommodate them, then they could help with Lex & if you get a competent one they could help with DH too. Another option that I know of in Vic is that families in crisis due to injury etc are eligible for 13wks care - http://www.vpmanagement.com.au - you could maybe contact them and as if hey know of an agency near you offers the same thing?

Hi ladies, has anyone used a vicks vapourisor for their little one? Mia is 12 weeks today and is a little congested and looks like she's got a bit of a cold I'm going to the chemist but just wanted to check if anyone's used it.. I think the vaporiser is for 3 months plus but she's 12 weeks today so that should be ok? xx

I have the esky bear one. It is super quiet and holds enough water to run at least 12 hours.

Hi JJ, I used one with DS and they are great - don't see it being a problem for Mia.
My only call out is the smelly stuff that you put into the water can leave a residue in your walls, so we only used sparingly or not at all. Plus expect water to be on the walls and windows - it makes the room very humid!!

Ngaiz sorry to hear about your situation. This is the sort of thing that we don't anticipate and it could happen to anyone of us.
I would definitely change the mortgage to interest only as that will take a lot of the pressure off you.
lotsa what a gorgeous photo, our little girls are growing up!

Sorry I haven't been on - Hilton has a cold and gets very laboured breathing plus when he tries to pass wind he is back to holding his breathe then panics when he tries to breath through his nose it's freaky to watch him struggle to figure out to try his mouth! Been over 2weeks now and has just started to get a cough on top of it all spent a few nights sleeping out in the lounge with him so my hubby could get some sleep and he even did a night in the lounge Sat night so I could sleep! So exhausting when they are sick!
