After our long and challenging journey to this very moment, our gorgeous miracle has finally entered our lives and into our waiting arms.
Our beautiful little man Raffael Sebastian was born today at 10:16am weighing a healthy 3.864kg or 8pound 8 ounces. Both DH and I are just so in love with this bubba who wouldn't be here without the care and support of so many.

Haha Bedlover- wtf!!! And ew!
Ann- good to hear you have something to explore to get back to yourself. Hope the physio does the trick!!!
We had our first decent nights sleep last night- but I gave in and allowed Elliot to co-sleep. Since day 1 Elliot has been a sleepy day baby and a fussy night baby who doesn't want to be put down (despite no problem sleeping long periods without contact during the day). Yesterday, We tried to make the day time more awake time and night time more quiet time- worked a bit with some co sleeping and instead Elliot was fussy all day today. does anyone else have ideas on how to manage a newborn and these kind of cycles? I think I've got baby blues big time and I usually start getting teary and upset in the evenings- I know what's coming and I'm getting really stressed about it. I feel a bit helpless and don't know what to do sometimes- don't know how to calm him or if I'm doing something wrong. Appreciate any advice

Awww, fantastic news Riss, he's gorgeous. Well done!
Berra I'm no expert at this, I would say it may take a week or two of following the schedule you are working to, to get him use to the new routine. I know what you mean about getting stressed knowing whats ahead of you for the night, just know that it won't go on forever. Remember you can call nurse on line for help as well.

congrats Riss and welcome baby Raffael
Berra - so sorry to hear things are so unsettled. I would be asking your child health nurse, to me it sounds like bub is a bit confused over day & night, i think it's fairly common and can be resolved usually without too much drama. It doesn't make things easier for you that bub will be picking up on your anxiety. Sorry I can't be of any help, hope things improve for you all soon.

Millie June arrived today at 12:19pm, weighing 6lb 14oz and 48cm long. She is so perfect & precious. ..im in awe of her!
I ended up having cervidil tape yesterday at 5pm and woke to a dull ache at 2:30am today, got a bit more sleep and woke at 6am and noticed the pain was worse and only 2-3mins apart. Arrived at the hospital a little after 8 to find I was 4-5cm, obs was shocked. He then broke my waters and I was fully dialated at 11am. Ended up with a forceps delivery but all was good. When I pulled her up to my chest, the cord snapped on its own, obs had never seen such a short cord! I fainted this afternoon but luckily was in bed at the time so just taking it easy as my bp is low.
Congrats again Riss- birthday buddies, yay!!
