I am a mother of a 21 month old girl as well as a freelance writer. I'm currently working on a story about gentle toddlers who lack confidence to get what they want. Examples of this behaviour could include being hesitant to go on play equipment when other children are around, missing out on key toys regularly because they get snatched by other children (and the gentle toddler doesn't try to get it back even though he or she really wants to play with it), getting pushed around regularly but doesn't stand up to the aggressor and is seldom/never the aggressor.
I was wondering if there might be parents out there who feel that their toddler lacks confidence and can share their experience?
In particular, I'm interested to know the type of behaviour your toddler exhibits and how you deal with their gentler nature.
Many thanks for reading, I hope to hear from you.
