    Australia doesn't have a debt problem. What we have is a political party in bed with the person who controls the main****** media in Australia and wants that political party to be elected because they will award him the most power - presto - a debt problem!

    Moreover, I am no economist but debt = bad, surplus = good does not apply to a country's economics.

    Yup. And they are cutting government contributions to university courses by around 20%, which the universities will have to recoup somehow. Hmm...if only there were a way...

    Families will be negatively affected by the introduction of a GP co-payment of $7 ($5 of which the Government will take), for the first 10 visits to the GP per year ($70). After 10 visits patients with concession cards and children under 16 will be exempt from the fee.

    Im not watching and i have NO idea about any of this, but quick question. High income earners tax is being risen? Can anyone elaborate?
