    When my high school did it you could choose to go without food, furniture or technology for the 40 hours.

    Some of the girls used to choose furniture and technology and have a big slumber party sleeping on the floor and play board games etc by torchlight over the weekend.

    Hmmmm I'm often a bit cynical about organisations like this, especially as I dislike evangalising and I'm atheist (well agnostic/pantheist) but figure perhaps they do more good than harm on the overall scheme of things.
