Has anyone's DH been prescribed Arimidex for Sperm and Testosterone levels

My DH has low sperm count, quality and quantity.
His testosterone was also a little low, however both FS we have used have decided not to treat the testosterone issue until after we are done with IVF as it could compromise his sperm. I would be interested to learn more about this medication also.
Good luck I will be following this to see what others say. Good luck with your journey.

To treat the low testosterone with replacement testosterone will definitely affect your chances of ivf as it is a form of male birth control as it will make him sterile... This is correct.
What this medication does like Clomid (which is another way of treating male fertility issues) is either tricks the body into making more testosterone or keeps it from converting to oestrogen in the body to begging with.
There are a couple of websites (I have placed on below) that might help you with your situation... You will have to find an FS that specialises in male fertility... There are not many... Dr Derek Lok in Sydney does... To be able to get a prescription as it is not an off the counter solution for the drug and hence only specialist can prescribe it.

Well just an update on DH... The sore muscle feeling as subsided a bit... But still getting tight muscles in shoulders and neck which might just be stress or might be meds... Also causing DH headaches...
Other than that no real difference...his mood might be a bit more happy but not sure... Will keep a watch on that.

Hello... Just an update on my DH ... He went flew down to Sydney last week to give a new sample for DNA fragmentation testing... Guess that takes about a week to ten days... He had his bone density test yesterday and by looking at the results looks like that should be all good... But will have to wait for the "official" results as I have no idea what I am looking at...
He is having an ultra sound done on Friday...
He has been on the Arimidex now for two weeks and I must say he seems to have more energy and his mood is soooooo much happier... Feel like I have my husband back... On down fall he seems to get annoyed much easier... But I'll take happy any day...

Okay... This has worked for my husband...
Testosterone levels are from 4.7 to 14 in 6 weeks.
Sperm levels from .3 million to 3 million in 6 weeks with a 75% increase in motility...
Husband is feeling happier and has a lot more energy. Isn't as moody and seems to me more forces and less anxious...
Overall... Good results... Very happy...
