Here's a question for you all... How did you know you were ready for a baby?

I've been going back and forth between yay and nay for a while now so this was our first month of active trying... But I'm still pretty freaked out and still in doubt!

DH is not much help. Doesn't seem like he cares either way lol

I've been umming & ahhing over it for awhile. I'd love another little one just not sure on timing. But there is never going to be a great time really, just going to see what happens. Thinking that DD needs a sibling too (will be 3 in a few months)
DH is very keen & has been for a while.

I was strong about not having kids as a teenager and I have no idea why but when my sister had my nephew and I discovered the love I had for him my whole view changed. Then following that I had some fertility issues with my tubes and told I couldn't conceive without IVF! This opened up a whole new view for me and it's almost like I discovered the maternal instinct I had deep down, ever since then I have been passionate about having kids and even a newborn cry soothes me..,.,,,sure that won't last long šŸ˜
My partner and I both new we wanted kids but wanted to have stable jobs with good income and our own house. I suggested the idea to dp end of April expecting him to hold off the idea but much to my delight and shock he was keen to start trying. He has been excited about the process and is excited for the bfp!

I agree with some other comments, you really need to be ready for children as they are a lot of responsibility and hard work at times but also very rewarding. I currently don't have any children but my DH and I are TTC (fertility issues mean it is taking longer than for others). I also work in childcare so am around children all week.
I love children and have always wanted them but I also know the impact they can make to a relationship and life so it was not a decision made lightly. My DH has been pushing for kids for years, because he thinks they will be fun, but I put a stop to that till I knew he was ready, I was ready and our relationship was ready.
But if you're more freaked out by the idea of a baby inside you and how it comes out and the sensations pregnant women talk about, I hear ya. Seeing babies move in peoples stomachs churns my stomach as it looks so weird and painful, but I am sure is a beautiful and different sensation to the Mum to be! haha weird I know !
