... and realise how much they have changed?
I love reading about myself from "back in the day" when I was ttc and testing, etc with my current knowledge of what was to come

Not recently, but I'm off to do it now! Should be an interesting afternoon!

Sometimes but I often think about my first posts and, as it was a controversial topic, think to myself how naïve and how lucky it didn't turn into an all out free for all. Or I will come across an old thread for whatever reason and read along thinking how spot on a poster was and then realise it was me.

But regarding the OP - I first joined 6 years ago and would be so embarrassed if anyone read the stuff I wrote back then! I once considered going back and deleting hundreds of posts but it's nothing incriminating, just awkwardly inexperienced…
Hmm if I'm still here in another 5 years I'll probably think the same about what I'm writing right now!

No. That would take all day!
edit: just looked - mine only goes back to April this year?

I read back through my old journal the other day... was an interesting read
I always remember one of my first posts on the hub, it was about bottlefeeding. I was a bit precious in those days ... and very defensive over the fact that I couldnt breastfeed.
anyway, there was a thread about the advantages of breastfeeding and how wonderful it was, and I ventured in with a counter on the advantages of bottlefeeding ... but it was in the breastfeeding section (which I didnt realise when I posted it)
One of the long time regulars was really lovely to me and politely explained that this was the breastfeeding section and my post wasnt really appropriate.
I am still grateful to her after all these years that she didnt allow anyone to tear me a new one.
I deleted the post and apologised ... but it was a while later so there was ample opportunity for me to be 'enlightened' as my post - while it wasnt rude or snarky - certainly wouldnt have helped anyone who was struggling with breastfeeding and who they were trying to support.

Oh my gosh... Looking back at my old threads on 'extreme tiredness' back when DS was still a baby!! Oh I remember the tiredness! So glad I got passed it.... It's a bit cathartic looking back at that.
