Used the stock standard flour/water mix and lots of newspaper. Final 2 layers were plain white paper before painting it (it was a light pink so that way the newspaper didn't show through the paint)
The inflatable beach ball above is a great idea!

This is the most recent one I did - made with the large round balloon (I can't claim credit for the painting). He was slightly beaten up at this point, but worked a treat

I made this george pig piñata myself. Just 2 balloons covered in magazineimage.jpg cuttings and then white paper for top layer (3layers in total) used pva glue watered down slightly. And then covered in tissue paper. It lasted a while with kids hitting it. I'm stoked with how it turned out didn't cost much at all. Kids had a ball
