    Default CCB question

I know that the CCB is worked out based on your estimated income. Does that mean that if you overestimate your income then you will get some money back once you have done your tax? We get CCB paid weekly as reduced CC fees.

According to the centrelink estimator we should be paying $32 per day for each child but we are actually paying $45. Not sure why there is such a difference and I'm wondering if it will sort itself out at tax time or whether I need to go in and try to see someone at centrelink.

Sooooo don't want to battle the long queue!

Yes, I use to purposely over estimate my income and consequently pay more for childcare but at the eofy I would receive more back in arrears.

I always overestimate and when DS1 was younger and we used care we did get a refund of CCB at tax time but because we were also claiming CCR we'd recieved too much back in that so we ended up losing the extra CCB to make up for the extra CCR we got

Sorry not sure if I explained that right, its so confusing.

Yep the first year I worked I didn't know anything about CCB or CCR so I got a whopping big chunk at tax time.
