Thanks, it was only a half try this month was our first month trying and only decided the halfway through my cycle. I spoke to a friend who was ttc for 3 years and has a good knowledge of cycles . She seems to think that I'm now in my next cycle and that I may O as normal ... so just to pretend af has come and gone

@MrsEH - as Tugs said, if you at least want to know where you are exactly, instead of guessing, get bloods done and it'll tell you which phase you're in of your cycle.

Is it something I can just ask my gp for? I have a feeling she isn't going to do it for me cos im still bfing she will blame it on that even though my cycles have been regular for 6m

Then you say "with all due respect, if you won't give it to me I'll just see someone else who will". It's a very minor procedure. With a bit of prompt I'm sure she will hand over the referral.

2 days before O sounds spot on perfect timing. And there's no evidence that laying for a while actually improves your chances. So I would say you're in for as good a chance as any this month.

when we fell pregnant with DD, we had only dtd once in the right week, and *warning TMI*

I was on top, got off fairly quickly as we had pretty much given up at that stage and were gearing up to start the ivf process. So yes, it can happen - and I'm not exactly a fertile person, struggling with endometriosis and fibroids causing me fertility issues... plus dh doesn't have great sperm...

Hey everyone ive decided to join you all! I have no idea when I will be testing because I have no idea what is going on with my cycle as I'm still breastfeeding my 11 month old.
I came off the mini pill about 3 weeks ago and havent had an AF yet.
Looking forward to getting to know you all
