Hubby will be working as usual. I might take the kids to the local market in the morning.

Growing up, we always had an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard and we had a huge family lunch with all the tableware and an entree and then always roast lamb for mains - grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins etc... it was always a joy filled day.

Now we have three kids and we either travel back to my childhood home and celebrate with family and do the egg hunt etc... or we stay home on the farm and family comes to us. We're staying home this year due to my health and having a relatively "small" gathering for Easter Sunday lunch with the five of us plus my folks and DH's folks and I've got my menu planned and we'll have our egg hunt as always. I always dye/paint eggs with the kids and do some other craft and baking.

Mum and Dad will be with us from Good Friday and traditionally on Friday we have hot cross buns for breakfast - I'm making them this year (disaster waiting to happen!) and fish/seafood for dinner.

Easter Saturday we have a BBQ

Sunday morning we'll head into church as well.

We usually go away for the long weekend. This year DP, DS and I are heading to our beach house for a few nights. On Sunday DS will wake up and have a little easter egg hunt which the bunny (he won't believe me its' a bilby!) will have left for him. We're then going to head in to town for the Blessing of the Fleet which is an easter parade, and then either go to the local zoo or the races. This is all dependent on me submitting an assignment tonight, which is why I'm on BubHub of course!

Good Friday lunch at my mums (we'll only be eating seafood, no meat is allowed to be eaten).
Sunday lunch at my MIL's then I'll visit my mum Sunday afternoon.

    aww sounds heaps nice everyone.

we used to have a big big family thing, but there's been a division of family in the last year so i doubt it will ever happen which makes me really sad.
