    Default Saving money...any tips?

Sorry if this is in the wrong area!

So was just wondering what everyone does to save money? I have a small loan that I want to pay off and it looks like I might have to go down the ivf line again so we want to save for that so anyways I want to know what are the lil things that you do to save a dollar??

And I mean ANYTHING, even if it saves you 10cents would love to get some tips :-)

DH and I are trying to reign in our expenses a bit and a few things I do now are:
-Substitute our usual $20 bottle of wine with an equally nice tasting $6 cleanskin
    -Changed from woollies to Aldi
-Take leftovers or a can of tuna and bread for work lunches instead of buying
-bought an Aldi coffee pod machine and cut down on store bought coffees
-substituted 'finish' dish washer products with 'fairy' and changed from normal cycle to fast wash or Eco
    - we grow all our own herbs to save buying

    Never use the dryer!
Turn off any second fridge you may have?
Turn off appliances at the wall.
Buy in bulk. Cleaning products etc
Make dinners from scratch. Instead of buying marinades etc, make your own.
Buy meat from a wholesale butcher and freeze in meal size portions.
Grow some food in your garden, even herbs in pots. Helps with the cooking from scratch as well.

    - buy meat in bulk and freeze
    - grow vegies and herbs, I have saved so much not having to buy herbs!
    - bundle any insurances to get a cheaper price, same with phones, internet, foxtel etc
    - have meat free meals
    - clean with vinegar
    - once a week have a "make your own" type meal and make random meals with whatever you have in the cupboard/fridge. Beans on toast etc

We switched to shopping at Aldi and changed our car insurance to youi - it was nearly half the price! We also ditched our home phone as we rarely used it and got rid of my gym membership. We plan all meals for the week so that we only buy what we need. Also, a little random, but I found an online supplier of our dogs flea tablets that were so much cheaper than the vet! I wrote down all of our expenses and then went through each and considered if we could get rid of it or if we could reduce how much we were spending somehow.

We waste so much food that gets spoilt when not eaten on time. Now I freeze whatever I can such as shredded cheese, dried shrimp , fruit that is getting too ripe, some herbs such as keffir lime leaves , sage.

The main thing working for us at the moment apart from a strict budget is using cash only for all variables. Mainly spending money and petrol. Just have a set amount each pay. It's was so easy to spend with a debit or credit card.
