    I'm assuming you mean an AVO. I would go to my local police station and take the event number with me that the police would have given you the other night. If you don't have one, ask to be given one. I would ask if the police would be willing to take out the AVO on your behalf- they are easier to get in court as the police have a lot of pulling power. If they are not willing, you will need to get all your evidence together (text messages, emails, witness statements) and head to your local court to put in an application. Whether they are helpful will depend on 2 things: 1. whether you will call the police EVERYTIME he breeches the order and follow up with any necessary action 2. He is someone who will pull his head in and has fear/respect for the police or the law. Good luck.
