Thanks ladies! Had lots of mucus and tightenings, period pain and the like over the last two weeks just nothing ultimately productive yet. Fingers crossed its not too much longer.

Veritas it sounds like your body is getting ready for 'anytime now'. When is your next check up?

Rtkirk so excited for you - cannot wait to hear your announcement!! and Veritas i hope that you're not far behind!!

I must say I am loving reading along with this thread and really hope you all don't mind me popping in now and then. It's so informative reading your stories and it prepares me for what I can expect!

I was wondering if I could ask a question to those of who you had baby showers... did you register somewhere? If so did you include the details on or enclosed with your invitation? I seem to get the vibe that registries aren't ok and that people think they are rude? I certainly don't feel that way as when I go to a baby shower i love knowing that I can buy something the couple need/want! I don't quite see how it's different to wedding registries which are pretty much the norm these days. It's hard with us as we don't know what we are having people can't buy pink or blue stuff and i don't mean to sound ungrateful AT ALL but there is only so much grey a baby should wear!! What are all your thoughts on it? Any advice would be wonderful xx

    Yay for getting closer Veritas.
I'm SO excited to birth at NPH now I've been to one of my antenatal classes. The midwife who ran the program was so cute and funny. I desperately hope she is on when I go into labour!!!

Yay rtkirk! So exciting to have another bub almost with us!

Veritas I thought you would have had bub by now, but I'm getting a feeling about the 9th for you...Hopefully things will really start to ramp up for you soon.

Annabel kindly gave us a 4hr 20 min sleep from when she first went down properly last night (at 1am), then after a nappy change and good feed DH took her out to the lounge and insisted I went back to sleep. He brought her in for a feed a couple hours later, I went back to sleep again and woke up in time for her next feed. Feeling very well rested and refreshed - I'm so lucky bubba loves her daddy time

JB I had a book only baby shower so no registry. But my SIL is having a baby shower and had a registry. It was fabulous. I would have spent ages trying to find something and wondering if they already had it or not. Plus there is always a range of prices. If someone has something special in mind they can still get it, but for people like me with no idea the registry was great!

JB- you can pop in whenever! I sometimes read the July August sept thread as some girls there are closer in due date to me.
For my baby shower I gave my SIL who is organising it a little wish list to help ppl with gift ideas even though I don't expect it at all. I've already had ppl ask me what I want so I'm happy to give them some direction. I've also had others who just want to give me vouchers. I've only been to two baby showers in my life so I'm not sure about what's the norm.
