This is in no way helpful to you, but you have me reminiscing about the California Cafe. Does anyone else remember their AMAZING breakfasts? So many recovery breakfasts had there. The guy just used to look at me and say "As You Like It. with scrambled, and a latte".

It doesn't take a lot to be better than a coffee club breakfast.

The Flying Nun at Samford is great.

Food and coffee at Campos in The Valley is great. Service not so much.

I could always see the appeal of that place but never liked it myself. If I remember correctly thin white sandwich bread toasted. *shudders*

My old favourite was the Rest on Latrobe Tce. The guy who ran it made his own bread in the days before "Artisan" bakeries were common and it was amazing.

California Café, now that's a blast from the past! I used to go in there and turn a blind eye to the hygiene factor as I knew a Chef who worked there also.
