Arya is ruthless and wouldn't be goaded/ manipulated but I think she had developed a fondness for the Hound. Not killing him satisfied 'letting him suffer' but also dismissed his 'I'm a bad guy, kill me cause I'm a bad guy' pleading.

I'm fairly sure it'll be Jon. Dany is too weak to be AA. She's like a little girl playing a grown ups game.

Wasn't someone supposed to be starting the book thread for all this......

Many fans believe he is not Ned's son, and Ned took him to protect him bc his sister was killed.
That's definitely my thoughts on the whole thing.

That's interesting , the only thing that popped to mind there though was Caitlin's attitude towards Jon in the early episodes.
Although, Ned may have lied to her about him being his farther too I suppose.

Is the acting true to the character in the books because I really don't like her.
Not sure if it's the actress herself or the part that's weak.

Yeah she was awfully catty about Jon, especially when she told the story about him being ill and wanting him to die, but sucked it up and helped him anyway. Going by the common theory, Ned may of not told her the truth about Jon's real origins.. unless.. Ned really is the father...

I totally buy the theory on Jon's parentage. It makes such sense. Ned was an honourable man and I can't see him doing the dirty on Catlin. He also dodged Robert's prodding when they were talking about their old lovers, and didn't want to tell Jon about his Mother. It HAS to have some importance. I can't see George writing about it if it wasn't.

BUT, if he told no one, for both Jon's safety (remember Robert had all the Targaryn children killed) and to save his sisters honour, then I'm not sure it will ever come out. But then again, I wonder if Stannis knows. He looked long and hard at Jon when Jon told him who he was. And sure, it could just be a "oh, that's Ned's boy and I owe Ned and thus his child a debt of honour as without Ned telling me, I wouldn't have known none of Roberts children were actually his children and Ned wouldn't have lost his head" but it seemed a very heavy and pointed look.

As for Arya, I agree she was doing it to leave him to suffer. He's been telling her she's weak for a long time and she's just showed him she's learnt her lesson. She's had to become hard. She wouldn't have survived otherwise. And leaving him to suffer slowly is revenge for her friend. To kill him would have been kind, and unfortunately I don't think she has much kindness left in her.

Dany is actually probably worse in the books. She annoys the hell out of me too.

Poor Ned. His sister did make him promise before she died that he would never tell anyone but what that promise was for hasn't been told yet.

Also for all us book worms I've started a thread so we don't accidentally spoil anything for the tv series fans

Has anyone made it in to the Game of Thrones Exhibit in Sydney?
I'd love to go but it's not an option with two kids and a 6 hour queue to get in :/
