Default Who has had an endo scratch at QFG?

Having and endometrial scratch at Queensland fertility group and was wondering what the deal is. I understand the procedure but I was more wondering about cost and if it a general anesthetic. Also what the side effects are etc.... Also if you thought it helped!
Any info or advice I much appreciated!

Hi @LittleDove , I have had it done twice at QFG, and because it is trial type thing, it was free, and they only charged me $24 for the pipettes. I had more pain the first time, just like af pain really, but I took some panadeine before the second one

    Hi
I havent had one at QFG but have at another clinic. Procedure wise its similar prep to a pap smear. The FS will stratch ir take a small section of the lining if ypu are doing any testing.
You can take some pain killers like panadine or neurofen just before the procedure if you like. Mine didnt hurt, felt like a period cramp when doing it. I did feel a bit crampy and sore that day but a heat pack and panadol sorted it out. X

I fell pregnant with DD (ivf icsi) the cycle after the scratch. I honestly believe it helped as that was my best lining from all the cycles. I will be doing pre FET as well.

Hi, I also had a scratch done at QFG after four failed transfers and got our positive after the scratch. I believe we now have our DS because of the scratch. Cost wise I think they just charged the fee for the doctor and that's all. It was all done in the FS rooms and the procedure itself was just like a Pap smear and had some panadol after. I also had some spotting for a few days. Good luck with the scratch

Thanks for the info gals! I am a little confused because I'm apparently having a general anaesthetic for it, although I'm also having a hysteroscopy, biopsy and lipoidal flush so perhaps that's the reason for the general. Has anyone had any of those things done as well?
