When I say to the kids "when I was your age..."
Or meeting up with friends to see a movie. We are all in maxi dresses, lined up behind girls who are wearing shorts so short you can see what they had for breakfast

Standing on a bus that had quite a few schoolkids on it, all about 15 or 16 years old. A seat became available beside me & a schoolboy jumped in there before me. A schoolgirl standing beside me said to me: 'He is sooo rude. We all know you're supposed to give seats to old ladies first.' I had just turned 40!

I was recently buying a gift at one of those girly shops that sells cheap costume jewellery etc. I was talking to the girls at the counter & when I said I was 40 one fresh faced girl exclaimed "Wow, I didn't think you were THAT old".
Can anyone say 'back-handed compliment'???
