Birdie Num Nums is great - I was just there on the weekend. There is a great sandpit and play area outside and the courtyard is heated.

Grub food van in Fitzroy is my go to place if there are prams, children or babies involved. There's always at least one mum breast feeding there, very spacious, pram and babies friendly. Plus you can grab one coffee and stay for hours without feeling pushed to order more.
Trust me, go there, best place! Closed on a Monday.

The Boyd library on city road in southbank is good to, great children's section in the library and the cafe is children friendly. The no. 55 tram stops on the corner of queensbridge and city road or parking is usually ok on the street.
