    Default Paying for dating scan

    Im about 5-6 weeks and having a scan i have medicare and pension card but they said I have topay $40 is this the norm now as I didnt pay tht wheniwas pregnant with my 2 yr old. Im in nsw.

    No its not normal in my experience, you can use your referral at any location so try ringing around

    Im going through hunter imaging its the main company tht nsw uses. Hopefully I dnt have to pay as I never had to pay for tht scan.

    I'm pretty sure I paid a fair bit for my dating scan (over 3 years ago) - can't remember how much. It was also through Hunter Imaging.

    I have never paid for a scan in all 9 pregnancies.

    I didn't pay I used greenhills X-ray in east maitland. They only charged for the nt scan.

    I didn't pay for the dating scan when I was pregnant last time in 2012. I think I had to pay for the NT scan cause it's considered 'optional' but that's it. I'm in NSW too

    I didn't pay for any of my scans two years ago but have had to pay for them all this time.
    Eta: even the morphology scan which is compulsory. I wasn't happy but didn't really have a choice
