    Hi everyone,

Just a question for anyone who's been over to CFC for a FET...how long do you need to be in Cape Town for that? And, how long do you have to wait after the previous cycle?

I know it's a bit bad to be planning ahead when I haven't even been once, but I feel like I need to plan for it. It will help me deal with disappointment if we don't succeed on our upcoming trip. I can't believe we'll be there in 1 week!

January - can you please update me to arriving in CT in August? We can get the donor we wanted in August and dont have to wait until September now - yippee!

Congrats Luca. And January, if you are updating the roll call, my transfer is estimated as June 9 :-)

    Hi mrsErinR
I'm here for FET at present.
Firstly we have been forward planning with the following:
We've decided to get double the amount of gestone to take back.. This means that you can start your drug protocol at home (and have your lining scan prior to leaving for CT). This means that you can literally fly in and out within a few days..
We have also decided that DH will leave a sperm sample to freeze, meaning I can come back alone if we need to.. It's really quite cheap to freeze for 12 months. Both options will reduce costs if we decide to go again as we won't need lengthy accommodation stays, only 1 flight, etc, etc.
only problem there is I will then be unsupervised - with a credit card - in a cheap shopping destination!!!!
    Hope that helps

AFM - met with sunflower11 and her DH yesterday. Great catchup.
They will be at the clinic at the sometime as us today.

We are a little anxious as to our defrost rate, but will post an update later this afternoon.. Keep everything crossed for us
We are aiming for 2 at transfer.
    Baby dust xxxxx

Thanks Helonweels. Good luck for the thaw! They use vitrification method don't they? That has a very high thaw success rate.

Cloggy, it looks like we had transfer on the same day. I am now officially on 2ww

Helen, how did you go today, keeping my fingers crossed for you too.

we also got few embies on ice, the lab sent us report today with explanation, but i am still confused. Who knows that that means B3-4AA, B2-3AA
i am calmer thinking that we have a back up plan as with our previous cycles we were getting only 1 embryo to transfer on day 5 with nothing to freeze( had only 1 on ice couple of times, but did not work). This time we transferred 2 blasties and still have few on ice wooowhooo!

Good luck Helonwheels, Sunflower and Girl from Sydney.

am on the 2ww as well.

I also got a few on ice which is a relief. Yes i dont know what those codes mean but presumably they are good enough to freeze.

    Fingers crossed :-).
