Our babies are here!! On March 10 our beautiful, beautiful twin boys arrived at 37+3 weeks weighing 2.6 and 2.9kg. It was such a relief to go virtually full term and with a smooth pregnancy and no complications we couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
I haven't had a chance to go through the last few weeks of news but offer my heartiest congratulations to those who have had their babies and my sincerest hope that those of you who are currently going through the process are blessed with a positive result. It truly is a magical experience.
Wishing all the very best of luck and joy ahead

Abundance - thank you for the advice..! I didn't know Australia was so strict... I finally got my head around using donor eggs and then someone offered her eggs and now Australian ethics may reject it... it seems so wrong...
Em - stay positive...!!
good luck to blinky, january and feather...!

Congrats to all the new mums. It really is a miracle to be able to say that on this forum.
Emski - I second the fork recommendation. Went there in September (long street if I recall). Food was sensational! We have it at the top of our list to go back. Another recommendation is the harbour house at kalk bay (near fish hoek).. Food was uh-mayzing! They also have a branch at the V&A too (behind the wheel on the waters edge.. Seafood is sublime! Xx

Helon ... we've done that restaurant three times we loved it so much - Kalk Bay once and V&A Twice! It really is lovely.
We went to The Test Kitchen the other night and would highly recommend it http://www.thetestkitchen.co.za/ I had to book in almost 4 months ago though to get our March booking!

Firstly big hello's to everyone as it has been ages since checking in and just taken a couple of hours to catch up on everyone's news, so sorry if I do miss anyone.
Huge congrats to those who have had their wee ones, very exciting. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying every minute. You keep the hopes alive.
Angelmamma congrats on your positive . twirly whirls, great news on a strong heartbeat.
emski, great news on your 2 blasties on board and keeping all crossed for a frozen embaby.
Blinky, good luck with transfer,I think it is today?
january, not sure if you have had yours yet but hope all is going well there for you too. Hope you all enjoy your last few days in CT.
donna, you sound like one amazing lady and I wish you the very best for your treatment.
Mrserin, sorry to read of your last OE cycle.
Klm, GL with donor selection, it is a tough one and ours ended up being a smoker but is proven with live births and said she would stop for the 2 months, from when we chose till after collection. since everything else ticked our boxes we have gone with her. It has niggled with me as we are both quite anti but none of our non smokers in our short list jumped out like she did.
Thembs, our donor is with nurture and hope you can find another soon.
Esperanza, hope all is tracking well with you too.
abundance and jodiw, glad all is ticking over for you and your bubs are all doing well. It is true you don't stop worrying till they are in your arms but then as children you never really stop worrying about them.
Lozby, good luck in Thailand.
I hope I haven't missed anyone but not on my computer so a little hard to track back, if so I am thinking of you and hope your are well wherever you are at in your journey.
Thank you all for your continual positive support on this forum it is a life saver as this journey is so stressful and unless your are living it or have, no one understands the worries we have at every stage. You are all amazing.
AFM, our donor had her initial tests & u/s the other week and all were good, we are just waiting on the extra CF tests results to come back. We were told 4-8 weeks for these so keeping all crossed on the sooner rather than later. As soon as my period arrives, is very late following our failed cycle in jan/February and has decided to go AWOL, what the... I will start the pill as we are still hoping for a May collection. Trying to keep patient but that seems to have gone AWOL with my period

Just popping in to send DJ a massive hug from Cape Town. Darling I am thinking of you every day and hope that you get well very soon. I am still in shock that this has happened to you
I will do a big update when I have the time and energy. Just quickly it has been a very rocky road for us over here but we are still in the game at this stage. For the ladies about to embark allow yourselves some extra time as our trip has now blown out at least 4 days.
