All my kids have a 2 syllable first name, 1 syllable middle name and ofcourse the same 3 syllable surname. I HAD to have the syllables matching lol

I don't think my boys names match...although I'm still not sure about how names match. The name we have picked out for this baby is short like her brothers so I guess they match in that way? Definitely use what ever name you like, I don't think many people would care if they didn't match and I doubt you would either

We choose our names because they remind us of water which we both love but I don't think others would make the connection. They also have the same amount of syllables I only just realised from a pp. my dd has mil name as her middle name and ds has my dads. So I guess they match in a way but are nothing alike iykwim.

My kids' names don't match either - I don't think their first names match their middle names even!

I wouldn't choose a name based on their siblings. It's not going to matter when they're older. Go with what you like.

I'm due with number 2 ( today actually) and the names we have picked out do "match" DDs name but not on purpose, I just like more traditional names & for some reason names starting with C! But trust me I'm not trying to pull off a Kardashians theme!

Yeh ours match. DS1 and DS2 have irish gaelic first names and have family members names for their middle names. We have a slightly different name in mind for baby 3 though, still thinking about it and not 100% set on it yet.

My kids names don't match. DD1's name is an old name but not one that many people have heard of and DD2's is a really popular old name that is common now.

I think mine match in style, and they flow together nicely. They don't start with the same letters though as that's too matchy for me.
I always notice when someone's kids name styles don't match. I don't know why but I do a little mental " Phoenix and George don't match!!" Lol
No offence if anyone actually has that combo.

My kids names match in style, sounds well together no matter which you say first and sound well with the surname. I'm a bit @n@l that way lol

This is exactly what I mean; it's more the 'style' of name that doesn't go together. I keep jumping between thinking it doesn't matter and then thinking maybe I should give her a slightly more modern middle name (first is set in stone, DH's nanna that passed) to make it slightly more in the style of DS'.

It's pretty much exactly like a Phoenix and George combo haha.
