    Default Why?!

Why is it that I have been pregnant three times in my life (2 x miscarriages and 1 x daughter) and yet I can't seem to get pregnant anymore?! We've been trying for 9 months now (not preventing for almost 12 months) and I just can't seem to fall pregnant, no matter what we try. I've now booked an appointment with my gp for next week to start getting tests done. I'm just really starting to feel so down and out about the whole ttc journey. I know there are others who have been trying longer than me or who have medical issues, but to try for 9 months is a long time and a lot of disappointment.

Thanks for reading. It's a very lonely journey.

I feel your pain babyblu11 I am also in a similar situation where I have been TTC for 15 months. I have had 2 children and 1 miscarriage (that was before my last son was born). It is really frustrating and the disappointment is really tough. At the 9 month mark I went to my GP and at 12 months I went to my OB/GYN and have had a heap of tests done and everything appears great and still no BFP. I am now seeing a Natropath and I have seen changes in my body already but we will just keep trying and hoping. I wish you the best of luck and really hope your TTC journey brings you BFP really soon xx

Jenga, yes I use OPK's, temp and also check my cervix and cm. I also use Fertility Friend which predicts ovulation according to all of my data and it seems to be pretty spot on.

Mrs Rampo, I'm sorry you're also having trouble falling pregnant. I think it would be harder to know that all the tests come back clear but you still can't fall pregnant. Hopefully it'll happen soon for you though. I guess all we can do is keep trying and keep hoping.

I even had a very relaxed cycle this month, didn't think much about ttc, just did my OPK's and temps around the time of ovulation and DTD before, during and after ovulation. And still nothing! It's beyond frustrating.

I know I felt like this but 9 months is still quite early, even though it feels like a lifetime. It took us over 15 months to fall pregnant which ended in ms, 2 months later we are pregnant again.

I'm sure it will happen soon.

Did your last pregnancies end in miscarriage and D&C's? Reason I ask is I fell naturally with my first two then had a miscarriage with a D&C and ended up with Ashermans Syndrome we did IVF took nearly three years and was discovered in that time with investigative surgery that I had Ashermans once I went thru a few ops to clear it out a fell pregnant with IVF and am now pregnant with my fourth naturally. Worth looking into as it is common with D&Cs if you had one.

We have been trying for our 2nd since mid 2012. We lost one at 21 weeks and misscarried another at 8 weeks so I can relate to your pain. Even though in the scheme of thing it doesnt seem like a long time, when the only thing you want is another baby it feels like forever. I'm so worried that we when try again I won't be able to fall pregnant, or if I do I'll misscarry again.

Thanks ladies. I feel terrible to complain when we haven't been trying anywhere near as long as others, but it's still very disheartening with every bfn. My last mc was natural, so no d&c, but I did have a d&c in 2010. I'm not sure if that could be affecting anything. We'll see what the doctor has to say.

Anyway, like I said I feel terrible to even complain. I know people who are in the same boat as me yet they are still trying for their first. I can at least be grateful for my darling daughter. But my heart still aches for another little bundle of joy.

Oh love I've been wondering how you are going but not on here much and didn't want to pry on fb

So disheartening. You are a great mumma. Wish I could wave my magic wand

Fwiw I had two d&c before the boys. And then as you know 24mrhs for ds1 and ds2 was a total unplanned shock.

All this makes me think there is no rhyme and reason for those of us without obvious fert issues.

You think you o'ing? How long your lp?
