Mummyjac hope the reactions are good. I have been pleasantly surprised that so far I haven't had any rude comments. I was kinda expecting a bit if sarcasm with being no. 4 and so close to Ds2. Glad your boys are excited!!

Well went for first hopital antenatal appointment. My placenta has another lobe on it so it is sitting anterior and posterior but they also mentioned they were worried about vasa previa. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have to go back in 2 weeks to see some specialist doctors hopefully I will have more answers then but I am really freaking out with all the info online about it.

I've never heard of it, sorry. Hope the specialists will shed some light. Take care and try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)

Mummyjac - glad all was well. How did everyone take it? I am 12 weeks too and started telling everyone this week. Makes it feel very real!

23 (I think). Does anyone else find that you don't remember how many weeks you are by number 3?

I've just run a 2 day workshop that had 80 people on the second day. Felt horribly fat but then one of the older ladies told me I looked elegant. Made my day!

Can't believe you're almost due Kara. I hope it all goes well for you.

A good friend of mine just had her baby and she had an unusual placenta just like yours. She was told at the time that she would likely deliver earlier because of it and or have some extra bleeding when the placenta is coming away after the birth. She was also concerned about her baby being smaller for dates. She had her baby at 36 weeks after having high blood pressure and swelling (not sure that part was related to the placenta- most likely not). Her baby is healthy especially for her age and smallish but not overly so. And she didnt have any issues bleeding The doctors will keep a closer eye on you- or should. Hopefully you will have a few extra ultrasounds - bonus ) While there is a risk of preterm labour you could go full term or close and be ok too I had my first steroid shot today. It was ok but baby is quiet since then which from what I'm reading is pretty common. I hate that (
