    Default Early labor swab test.....

Has anyone had the swab and have it come back negative and still go into labor, I am interested to hear any stories on this?
I understand what the test looks for but can it pick up if waters are going to break too?

I don't think it's an early labour swab test. Isn't it a strep b test? I don't think anything can predict early labour!

No there is now a swab test they do that can tell you if you will go into labor in the next 7 days, I had it in my last pregnancy 4 years ago and this one.
I will find the link for you.

Ha! I've never heard of this and thought I'd heard of most things baby/labour now! I wonder how accurate it is?

From memory - very accurate if positive, but false negatives are frequent.

I had that test done when i had a car accident at 30wks preg.
It was negative though i was still treated with steroid injections, bed rest and the drugs to hold off labour for the following week when a follow up test swab was done with the same negative result.
