It sux how life doesn't suspend itself when something stretches you to your absolute limit. You are an amazing woman to be dealing with all of this at the same time!

I agree with pp: keeping your dd in daycare will help give you time to focus on Hugo while ensuring your DD has care, routine and stimulation.

I'm currently off on mat leave with a newborn and am keeping ds1 in full daycare until things settled down with ds2. It really has made the transition easier: DS1 is learning new stuff at daycare every day and doesn't seemed phased by his new baby brother.

He is on 5 hourly feeds so far (demand) taking 150 mls.

I did baby resus course on neonate ward. Plan is discharge tomorrow. I was a bit upset so asked to room in. Hubby didnt see point well your not as anxious as me so whatever. If yoi dont want to stay thats fine. Nurses understood so im in a room with hugo and have them on call. Especially since being away from him im not used tk waking up to him etc :/ im so nervous I feel like im giving birth again!!! Hubby is coming and we are getting take away. They will monitor his feeds (I have to writw them down, nappies etc).

That's wonderful that you're back in a normal room. You'll soon get used to waking again. And it sounds like he is drinking better. Fingers crossed he starts leaping ahead.

Thanks girls im feeling a bit more confident after a chat with one the nurses.

As she said im a confident mother who hasnt killed my other child. I brang him to hospital because im a GOOD mum. I just need to believe in myself a bit more. Ive probably worded that badly but hope you all understand lol.

Im doubting myself as a mum so badly lately!!!
