    Default Really sore boob

Hi wondering if anyone has advice, I couldn't sleep last night as my right breast was extremely painful. I am bf DS2 and on the one side I can barely touch it. If I lie down it hurts too(no support) and also if I wear a bra.

It's aching even when I don't touch it.

I have had mastitis before with DS1 and this kinda feels similar but much more sore an DS has almost emptied this breast and it's stil sore.

Could it be mastitis again? It's not the first time this breast has hurt since DS was born 6 weeks ago...

It could be mastitis. Do you have any other symptoms, red patch, hot to touch, fever? I'd get it checked just in case.

No other symptoms so far... It's a little warm where it hurts but not sure if that's because I've been trying to massage it a bit to relieve the pain...

Keep an eye on it and see a gp if anything changes. Mastitis can go from bad to worse very quickly so monitor it very closely. Maybe take some nurofen and see if that helps with the pain.

Is there a lump in it?? Could be a plugged duct. Have bubs chin pointing to the sore spot to try clear the blockage. Lots of warmth and massage too
