Hi there, am after some advice on primary schools on the Sunshine Coast, around Maroochydore in particular. We are moving there in the next few months and need to find a school for my daughter who is in year one. Would be great to hear opinions from parents who have children attending primary school there? Thanks![]()

are you wanting state or private
?
Mountain creek state school is a great school. quite a big school but from experience they run it well as a big school
Although you need to be in the catchment zone
Check with where you will be moving as many schools are zoned up there now
Siena Catholic primary at sippy dowbs and Stella Maris Catholic in maroochydore are also apparently good (no experience there just word of mouth)

We are after a state school, we're not catholic, so wouldn't feel right sending our kids to a catholic school. We have put in an out of catchment area EOI for Brightwater in Mountain Creek, but not liking our chances of getting in there with the strict zoning in place.. which I think we would have the same issue at Mountain Creek State?? Have you heard anything about Buderim Mountain School?? I would be grateful for any opinions

bright water I have also heard good things about but is a fairly new school
which can be good . but yes the zoning can be a problem both with bright water and mtn creek
My mum had a friend with her girls at buderim mountain and they loved the small school community feelother than that I don't personally know much about it
