I have to go to work, so can't really stay. I find that even if I stay for 10 min and try to say "Hey, look at this lets play" or "Oh look at this new activity", he just gets more upset and clings and cries that he doesn't want to play with it.
However, 1 minute after I left he wasn't crying, but just a little upset (moody).
I am yet to call to see how he is going.
