    I have my slow cooker going now with slow cooked beef.

    One piece of beef
    3 cups of water
    One packet of salt reduced French onion soup mix
    2 tablespoons of gravy

    I could it for 8 hours on slow but im sure an extra hour wouldn't hurt. Once done I remove the meat and add a bit more gravy powder to create a thicker gravy. Yum!

    Subbing for some inspiration! I've only used my slow cooker once since having purchased it last year and it was a disaster. Need to give it another go I think!!

    Oh I love my slow cooker!! Some faves here are:

    -beef pot roast
    -chilli con carne
    -any type of soup (chicken and corn is my most fave)
    -beef and red wine casserole
    -beef stroganoff
    -spag Bol

    I love my slow cooker!

    DH makes an amazing chicken tikka masala but he won't tell me what recipe he uses lol.

    For your purposes I think spag bol and casseroles or stews would work well.

    I need more recipes (preferably from scratch as I find some of the packet ones too salty for DD) so hoping to pick up some nice ones here!

    I really love making Beef Pot Roast. (any roast really)
    I used it to make home made stew or curry. (family recipes)
    I also love using it to make Bolognaise Sauce

    Last Monday I did diced chuck steak, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, pumpkin, celery. I put in some curry powder and vege stock, some mixed herbs and that was it. It was delicious.

    I like to throw everything in and leave it.

    I've never done corned beef as I'm not a fan. I like it for casseroles.
