Dear PrincessSparkles , if you donot have any anxiety issues then its most probably an SVT until proven otherwise. They are not really easy to pick but if you are really concerned continuous ECG monitoring could help.

Sounds like an SVT - I had one, first experienced it in my teens & had it diagnosed by a cardiologist in my 20s. It got more frequent & episodes went for longer as I got older (I'm 30 now), to the point where I'd get breathless, dizzy & 'woozy' & have to lie down. Sometimes it would keep happening over & over throughout a day, then nothing for weeks or months. I had mine fixed a year before I got pregnant because if a severe episode happened while preg it could restrict blood flow to the baby. It's a fairly simple keyhole procedure, but still 'heart surgery' so it's only really necessary if the palpitations get really bad.

My eldest daughter describes your exact same symptoms. She's heading for a echo in 2 weeks time plus will be on a 24 hour heart monitor. They don't seem too concerned but just need to rule out anything else.
